When choosing one option or another, clients may simply not understand why creating a website – the company's online presence – requires paying a certain amount that may be higher than they expected.
In this article I will try to answer the main questions that arise for the Client, that is for you, if you plan to order website development from our studio or are only thinking about it.
Important to understand that the website is, first and foremost, for you.
Yes, it sounds strange, but it's true. A successful project implementation will help solve your goals - generate an inflow of orders, create a positive image of your company, and so on. So all of this concerns you and your business.
Quality work is hard to do quickly, and therefore cheaply.
In any work you can encounter a potential client/customer who, outraged, says: "It's expensive with you,… why are their 'competitors' much cheaper?".
Many studios offer very low prices, but the development quality often leaves much to be desired. In such cases they omit which tasks they won't do to save money, and most importantly, what that saving may lead to later. A site built on a site builder, without mobile responsiveness, without SEO setup and with a clumsy presentation of information will undoubtedly be cheaper.
Working should be enjoyable.
Website development takes more than a day and requires many meetings, phone calls, discussions and approvals. By working in a trusting relationship, without delays in providing informational material, and by maintaining quality and timely feedback, you can get a high-quality site that, most importantly, works for you. Maybe it's worth trying? 😉
Don't change the brief and requirements after they're agreed.
Be clear about what you want to see as the result when drafting the technical specification. A note in the spec like "make it good, and don't make it bad" may differ from your expectations 😱.
After receiving written or verbal approval of the completed work, and especially after signing documents (contract, technical specification, prototype and design mockup), the Client, of course, has the full right to make edits to the approved document, but must be prepared that these changes will alter the agreed scope of work and, accordingly, will lead to increased costs and project timelines.
We are always ready to help you.
We understand that in most cases the Client has no prior experience with website development. Therefore they are not expected to know all the subtleties and nuances.
